Although the Lisu villagers buy their clothing from the market for their everyday life, but female elder relatives continue carrying on and hand down the weaving skill to their girls. The girls begin to learn weaving long strip to make a shoulder bag and make adornments. It can be used for themselves and for sale. In spare time they fabricate the colorful brilliant pieces of cloth and create new variegated dress decorated with silver buttons and ornaments to show off during the New Year festival.

แม้เสื้อผ้าที่ใส่ประจำวันจะซื้อหามาจากท้องตลาด ทว่าหญิงลีซูแม่ป้าน้าญาติผู้ใหญ่ยังคงสืบสาน และถ่ายทอดความรู้เรื่องงานทอให้เด็กหญิงได้เรียนรู้ ลองทำและลองทอผืนผ้าหน้าแคบ ไว้ตัดเย็บถุงย่ามหรือไว้ประดับตกแต่ง ทำใช้ ทำขาย ทำได้ยามว่าง เกิดเป็นผืนผ้า เส้นใย หลากหลายสีสัน ประดิษฐ์ปักถักทอ เย็บร้อยต่อเรียงซ้อนทับสลับสี ประดับประดาด้วยชุดเงินดุมเงินเหรียญตราบนเสื้อผ้าชุดใหม่ที่นำมาใส่มาอวดกันในวันปีใหม่
