Mr. Pongsupun Tubtimsai is one of the Isan painters who join the traditional painted style to the contemporary painted style. The characteristic of these painting, as the bright color realistic style painting, shows the Isan culture, belong to the Mekong basin.

จิตรกรอีสานวาดจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในสถาปัตยกรรมต่างๆในวัด เพื่อเล่าเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับพระพุทธศาสนาและประเพณี 12 เดือนในรอบปี นายพงษ์สุพรรณ ทับทิมไสย เป็นหนึ่งในจิตรกรอีสานร่วมสมัยที่นำรูปแบบการวาดภาพอีสานโบราณมาผสมกับรูปแบบการวาดภาพสมัยใหม่ จนกลายเป็นงานร่วมสมัยที่มีลักษณะเด่น คือ การวาดภาพเหมือนจริงด้วยสีที่สดใส ที่สะท้อนวัฒนธรรมอีสานบนที่ราบลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง
